Who is Petra Vance?

Petra Vance is the Wisdom Steward at KOYDO LLC. The role is editorial in shape and structural in effect: she custodies the Koydo Method Library, the registry of named teaching methods (SoundSteps, NarrationQuest, the Storybook Beat structure, the Curiosity Cabinet method, and the rest), and she is the named editor on the homeschool-parent voice that runs across every public Koydo surface that addresses a family directly. Her sign-off is the gate every newly-named method crosses before it earns a /methods/{slug} URL.

Her review work is grounded in two streams of evidence Koydo's research team maintains continuously: the homeschool-parent interview cohort (a panel of families running Koydo methods in real households) and the curriculum-publishing review pool (former editors and learning designers who pass-read every method dossier before publication). A method earns its name when (a) a Koydo agent can reproduce its Beat structure from the method dossier alone, (b) a parent in the interview cohort runs it in a real household routine without a separate teacher manual, and (c) the evidence trail anchors to canonical sources Koydo does not republish. The third condition is the named-method moat — Koydo links to source authority rather than paraphrasing, and Petra's byline enforces that posture before any method earns its URL.

Petra named-authored the Koydo Method Library evidence-trail introduction (the public-facing explainer of why every method links to its sources rather than republishing them) and the /research/koydo-method-review-cadence reference page, which documents the quarterly review pass, the deprecation criteria, the renaming protocol, and the version-log convention for the method registry. The cadence document is the operating contract behind the named-method moat — once a name is published, it cannot be silently retired; the version log records every state change. Petra's editorial calendar runs against that cadence: every method is read end-to-end every 90 days, with a forced-revision pass when the evidence base updates.
