Teen sitters aged 13–17 are not subject to consumer-report background checks as defined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ('FCRA'). Koydo does not market teen sitter accounts as 'background checked.'
Trust indicators for teen sitters — such as referral verification, school affiliation badges, capability badges, and community links — describe specific, limited platform processes only. They are informational signals, not endorsements, certifications, or guarantees of safety or suitability.
Koydo may, at its discretion, require adult caregiver applicants to authorize a consumer-report background check through a licensed Consumer Reporting Agency ('CRA') as a condition of platform activation or continued access.
This section constitutes the standalone disclosure required under FCRA section 604(b)(2)(A). The authorization below is separate from any general platform terms.
By accepting this disclosure and clicking 'Authorize Background Check' in the platform, you authorize Koydo and its designated CRA to obtain a consumer report about you. The report may include criminal, civil, identity, employment, education, and other history as permitted by applicable law.
You have the right to request disclosure of the nature and scope of the investigation before it begins. You have the right to request a copy of any report obtained about you. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in any report directly with the CRA.
If Koydo intends to take an adverse action (including denial of activation or suspension of access) based in whole or in part on information in a consumer report, Koydo will: (a) provide you with a pre-adverse action notice including a copy of the report and a summary of your FCRA rights; (b) allow a reasonable time to dispute inaccurate information; and (c) provide a final adverse action notice if the decision proceeds.
Adverse action decisions based on consumer reports are made in accordance with applicable FCRA and EEOC guidance. Koydo does not use consumer reports to make decisions that are prohibited by applicable anti-discrimination law.
Screening or verification processes, where offered, are limited in scope and timing and may not reveal all criminal, civil, driving, identity, abuse, fraud, or safety-related history. Background reports reflect information available at a point in time and are not continuously updated.
The absence of a flag, report entry, or adverse finding is not evidence that no risk exists. Households remain responsible for their own due-diligence decisions about caregivers they hire through or outside the platform.
For questions about background check requirements or results, contact support@koydo.app. For dispute rights under FCRA, contact the Consumer Reporting Agency named in your screening notice directly.
