Governs booking creation, payment authorization, fees, cancellations, and dispute procedures for households using the Trusted Care Network.
Checking acceptance status...
A booking is not confirmed until: (a) the applicable caregiver or sitter accepts it through the platform; and (b) any required payment authorization is successfully placed and confirmed by Koydo's payment processor.
Koydo may cancel, refuse, or reclassify a booking if required information, payment authorization, identity data, or safety conditions are missing, invalid, or under review. Koydo is not liable for a caregiver's or sitter's failure to accept a booking request.
By creating or confirming a booking as a paying household, you authorize Koydo and its payment processors to: place hold authorizations on your designated payment method; capture charges upon booking completion or as otherwise disclosed; and process related platform fees, tips if applicable, taxes, adjustments, refunds, and reversals.
You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that sufficient funds or credit are available. Koydo may retry a failed authorization and may suspend booking access if a valid payment method cannot be confirmed.
Household subscription fees, booking fees, cancellation fees, no-show fees, expedited-booking fees, and other platform charges are disclosed in the Services, checkout flow, fee schedule, or account settings. Fees may change prospectively with advance notice as described in the Master Terms.
The household monthly subscription includes access to the booking platform, one linked teen sitter profile at no additional onboarding charge, and platform records and statement access. Additional linked profiles, premium features, or adult-caregiver verification products may be available as paid add-ons.
Booking fees are charged to the household payer and allocated between platform fees and sitter earnings as disclosed. Tips are voluntary and passed through to the sitter net of applicable processing costs.
Cancellations by the paying household more than 24 hours before the scheduled booking start: no cancellation fee applies.
Cancellations by the paying household between 4 and 24 hours before the scheduled start: a partial cancellation fee applies. The applicable sitter may receive a protected partial payout as disclosed at booking.
Cancellations by the paying household fewer than 4 hours before the scheduled start, or household no-shows at the scheduled start time or inaccessible location: a late-cancellation or no-show charge applies. The applicable sitter receives a protected payout as disclosed.
Koydo may waive or reduce cancellation and no-show fees in documented emergencies at its sole discretion. Repeated abuse of cancellation rights may result in account restrictions or suspension.
If the caregiver or sitter cancels: no booking fee is charged to the household. Koydo may provide rebooking support and may apply platform consequences to the sitter's account for repeated late cancellations or no-shows.
Households must report billing disputes, booking inaccuracies, or service complaints within 30 days of the relevant booking date. Koydo may review platform records, timestamps, messages, location signals, photos, ratings, and other available data in resolving disputes.
Platform determinations are final except where prohibited by applicable law. Koydo is not required to resolve all disputes in a user's favor. Chargebacks filed with your payment card issuer before contacting Koydo support may result in account suspension pending investigation.
Koydo provides booking and payment records as an informational service. Koydo does not determine whether any booking arrangement constitutes household employment, casual domestic service, or any other legal or tax classification.
You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of caregivers booked through the platform triggers household employer obligations, payroll tax requirements, workers' compensation obligations, or other legal duties under federal, state, or local law. IRS Publication 926 and applicable state guidance may be relevant to your situation. Koydo recommends consulting a tax professional.
The household subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate unless canceled before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
For web-direct subscriptions, you may cancel in your account billing settings or by contacting support@koydo.app. For app store subscriptions, cancellation is managed through Apple App Store or Google Play settings, and store policies govern billing, refunds, and renewal.
For billing questions or disputes, contact support@koydo.app within 30 days of the relevant booking date.
