Guardian Consent and Teen Sitter Addendum

1. Guardian Status and Legal Authority

By activating, sponsoring, or approving a Teen Sitter Account, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the parent or legal guardian of the teen user named in the linked account; (b) you have full legal authority to consent on behalf of that teen; and (c) you have read, understood, and accept the Koydo Master Terms of Service and all applicable TCN policies on behalf of yourself and the teen.

If your legal authority changes — including loss of guardianship, change of custody, or the teen's 18th birthday — you must promptly notify Koydo and update or close the Teen Sitter Account.

2. Consent to Teen Participation

You authorize the teen identified in your linked account to: create and maintain a sitter profile on the platform; receive referrals from verified households within the platform's trust graph; communicate with families through approved platform messaging channels; accept bookings that are age-appropriate and permitted under applicable law; and receive earnings through a guardian-approved payout destination.

You acknowledge that the teen's profile visibility is limited to the referral-first trust graph at launch and is not open to general public search. Visibility expands only through verified referrals, trust milestones, and at Koydo's discretion.

3. Guardian Responsibility and Supervision

You are responsible for: (a) actively monitoring the Teen Sitter Account and supervising the teen's use of the platform; (b) reviewing booking requests, communications, and earnings statements on a regular basis; (c) ensuring every task the teen accepts is lawful, age-appropriate, and consistent with applicable state and local youth-employment laws, school-night restrictions, and curfew requirements; (d) keeping all contact information, payout details, and linked payment methods current and accurate; and (e) promptly reporting any safety concern, incident, or suspected misuse to Koydo.

You acknowledge that Koydo does not supervise bookings in person and does not guarantee the conduct, identity, or suitability of any household or booking participant.

4. Guardian Control Rights

Koydo provides guardian controls that allow you to review and manage: profile visibility and discoverability settings; referral permissions; platform messaging settings; booking category permissions; payout destination approval; linked payment methods; access to ratings and reviews; and account deactivation.

Instructions given through your linked Guardian account are deemed authoritative for the associated Teen Sitter Account. Koydo may act on those instructions without separate teen-side confirmation.

You may deactivate or request deletion of the Teen Sitter Account at any time by using in-account controls or by contacting support@koydo.app. Deactivation does not reverse completed bookings or reverse processed payouts.

5. Payout Destination Approval

No payout destination for a Teen Sitter Account may be added, modified, or used to transfer earnings without your explicit approval in the manner required by Koydo and its payment partners.

Koydo may require your identity verification, bank or payment account information, tax-identification data, or additional consent before enabling or continuing payouts. Koydo may also require annual re-verification of guardian-approved payout destinations.

You acknowledge that Koydo may delay, hold, or withhold payouts pending fraud review, reserve requirements, dispute resolution, or compliance with payment-partner requirements, and that no guaranteed payout timing is promised in exceptional circumstances.

6. Notices and Statements to Guardian

Koydo may send the following communications to your linked Guardian account: booking summaries and confirmations; payout notices and monthly statements; tax-related notices or documents where required; trust-and-safety notices and incident communications; compliance updates; and material changes to these Terms or applicable TCN policies.

Delivery of any such communication to your Guardian account is deemed delivery to the Teen Sitter Account as well. You are responsible for monitoring your Guardian account and ensuring contact information remains current.

7. Age-Band Operating Rules

Sitters aged 13–15 are subject to tighter restrictions than sitters aged 16–17, including: narrower approved task categories; shorter maximum booking windows; restricted visibility settings; and additional guardian-approval requirements for new booking types. Koydo may update age-band rules as platform policy evolves and will provide notice of material changes.

Teen sitters may not: provide false age or school affiliation information; accept tasks outside Koydo-approved categories; solicit or accept off-platform payments related to platform-originated bookings; administer medication or perform medical care unless expressly permitted by policy and applicable law; transport children in a vehicle unless the teen is in an approved adult caregiver flow; or bring unapproved third parties to a booked engagement.

8. Risk Acknowledgment and Limitation of Liability

You acknowledge that caregiving services involve inherent risks, including interactions with third parties in private residences, transportation to and from booking locations, and the supervision of young children. You accept responsibility for deciding whether each booking is appropriate for the teen, and for making independent safety judgments that the platform cannot make on your behalf.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Koydo's liability in connection with any Teen Sitter Account is subject to the limitation of liability provisions in the Koydo Master Terms of Service. Nothing in this addendum creates obligations or liability beyond those expressly set out in the Master Terms.
